Privacy Officer
Privacy Officer, reachable at contact@chasseurdevols.ca.
What we collect
We collect the minimum: email address, first name if you give one, home city (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, or Quebec City), trips you ask us to watch, language, and proof of consent (UTC date and time, IP address, user agent, form URL, the version of the text you accepted, and that the box was checked).
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. Stripe may send us a customer id and the subscription status.
Open and click statistics, if any, come from the sending tool (beehiiv) and are not turned on in the browser without your consent.
Why
We use this information to send deals and alerts, manage the subscription, bill you, and improve the service. We never sell personal information.
Service providers
Providers may be outside Quebec: beehiiv (email, United States), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting, United States), Porkbun (domain and email forwarding). A privacy impact assessment was completed before any transfer outside Quebec.
No Cloudflare service is used.
Retention
Subscription information is kept for the life of the subscription, then for at most 24 months. Consent records are kept for 3 years after withdrawal, then deleted.
A deletion request stops further messages. The subscription file is then deleted on that schedule. The consent record stays for the required period, then it is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, withdrawal of consent, de-indexation, and portability. Write to contact@chasseurdevols.ca. We reply within 30 days.
You may also complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Incidents
Any confidentiality incident that presents a risk of serious injury will be reported to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and to the people affected.
